New head of Financial Institutions & Marketing at UGB

United Gulf Bank (UGB) of Bahrain, the investment arm of Kuwait Projects Company (KIPCO), has announced that Amine Fehmi has joined the Bank as senior vice president - head of Financial Institutions & Marketing.

Mr. Fehmi will be responsible for managing UGB's institutional relationships, marketing its treasury and investment products, and developing the Bank's Islamic finance business in the Middle East.

Mr. Fehmi has more than 15 years experience in international banking, and has held a number of positions at major financial institutions in the Middle East, Europe and the US, including head of Marketing for Societe Generale Asset Management, Bahrain; regional director for Societe Generale, Dubai; vice president - head of Islamic Banking Division for Gulf International Bank of Bahrain; vice president - Head of Financial Institutions for Arab American Bank of New York; banking officer for Gulf International Bank of Bahrain; and Economic/ Commercial specialist for the US Embassy in the UAE.

Mr. Fehmi holds a BA degree (with distinction), from the American University of Beirut. He successfully completed post graduate programs at the Foreign Services Institute, US Department of State, US Department of Commerce and Citibank Institute of Banking.
