Jafza participates at the SIAL Exhibition in Paris

The recent participation of JAFZA (the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority) at the SIAL Exhibition (The Global Food Marketplace) during the past week in the French capital, Paris, has proven a resounding success.

Tariq Bin Ghalita the Assistant Regional Manager for Europe in JAFZA mentioned that this is the first time participation for JAFZA in this important exhibition, which has proven a vital event that successfully attracted hoards of investors and industry leaders, and particularly as that it deals with the basic daily requirements unceasingly consumed by all societies around the world revolving around dietary components, food products and beverages.

He confirmed that several contracts have been signed with investors and investment companies during the event for future activities in JAFZA which clearly depicts the success of the participation in the exhibition. He also explained that while JAFZA offer its services and facilities at SIAL, the opportunity was also used to attract visiting investors as well as opening new markets and establish new contacts for the international companies located in JAFZA.

Bin Ghalita added that there is currently 299 manufacturing and industrial companies in JAFZA concerned with food products and beverages, and mentioning that JAFZA's presence at SIAL this year proved useful for studying and exploring the possibilities and benefits of collective participation in the following round of SIAM of the JAFZA food and beverages manufacturing companies to under the JAFZA umbrella.

SIAL welcomed 5,240 exhibitors from 98 countries and attracted over 135.285 trade visitors from 188 countries, demonstrating how exhibiting at SIAL 2004 can substitute for several weeks of round-the-world travel to meet with your current and potential customers in the food distribution and food service industries.

In conclusion of the UAE's delegation's visit to France. Bin Ghalita expressed his thanks and gratitude towards the staff of the UAE Embassy in Paris for the diligent support offered to the delegation and the endless facilitations and services extended during the exhibition, which had revealed that there was a large presence participating Arab Countries.
