Japan's pavilion will feature the 'Himeji Palace' at Global Village 2005

After a long silence, a Japan Country Pavilion finally makes its debut at the Global Village 2005.

The technology gurus take on the much-awaited challenge to make an impact at this immensely popular global arena.

The Japanese pavilion will adorn the Global Village 2005 for the first time, spread across an area of 750 square meters. E4 Entertainment the leading Events & Exhibitions Company in Dubai will be organizing the Japanese Pavilion 2005.

Mr. Sunil Bhatia, CEO, E4 Entertainment said, "The exhibitors will definitely find the Global Village a destination they would like to come back to every year. The Japanese Pavilion is at a convenient location, ideal for the promotion of Japanese products. Global village is an attractive retail location and has been known to have the highest sales of any shopping venues during the Dubai shopping festival."

Keeping with the Global Village tradition, the Façade of the Pavilion will be designed to showcase the 'Himeji Castle' a prestigious and popular monument of the country. The interiors will be designed using inspiration from Japanese architecture, which will ensure an authentic Japanese ambience to the Pavilion.

Mr. Tadaharu Chichii, Japanese Consul General said, "We are happy to represent our country at a global event in Dubai. Thanks to the Organizers E4 Entertainment, this Pavilion's Façade and Interiors may attract attention of the public."

Although Japan is world-renowned for their technological advancements, their pavilion at the Global Village will display their culture amongst various other aspects. In short, more than trade participation, it provides cultural exchange of Japan.

The Japanese Pavilion will display products ranging from handicrafts to ethnic gems & jewelry to gift items to household items to antique furniture & furnishings and electronics amongst many other products from Japan.

The Global Village has seen great success since it has been launched in 1996 and throughout the following years, establishing a unique tourist destination that is sought by visitors from all over the world. The Global Village will include more than 45 pavilions and will have a food court with more than 50 restaurants and 4 main cafés. It will also have more than 75 kiosks for the retail sector. A unique feature of the coming event will be an amphitheatre with a capacity to accommodate an audience of more than 6000 and for the first time a manmade lake with a total area of 4000 sq.mt.

The Global Village 2005 is at a new location, which is at Dubailand, along the Emirates Road. The venue, which earlier was a 7.5 million sq. ft. project, will now stand on a whopping 17.2 million sq. ft. area. The magic of Global Village will now be recreated at Dubailand, which is intended to be the ultimate leisure, entertainment and tourism destination of this region, which will take place from January 12th to March 31st 2005.
