Showcasing the best that the city has to offer by way of real estate projects, Nakheel will also join the government of Dubai, DTCM in promoting it as an international tourist destination.

Confirming the company's participation, Wahid Attalla, Nakheel's Executive Director, Commercial and Operations, said "The World Travel Mart (WTM) is one of the world's largest international travel fairs, and an apt forum for promoting Dubai as one of the world's most memorable destinations. Nakheel will join the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in showcasing our city to international media, travel trade, airlines, tourist organisations, governments and other significant audiences who will assemble at this event," he stated. "While our key objective is to raise brand awareness of Dubai, we will also be promoting our concept of destinations within a destination."

The Nakheel stand - which is the largest in the DTCM umbrella - will house replicas and models of their key projects. These will include The World - a cluster of 300 man made islands, Discovery Gardens - a pre-designed complex comprising of six themed communities styled in a variety of garden experiences and Lost City - a residential complex that captures the essence of ancient and old themed houses from the fertile crescent and North Africa to Indian subcontinents

A team will also be on hand for the duration of the exhibition to make new customer contacts, generate sales leads, network with the industry, and maintain their status as a key player in Dubai's tourism industry. Another highlight will be Nakheel's third Palm island - The Palm Deira, which will be officially launched later this week in time for visitors to be able to get info and an idea of this new icon in Dubai.

Attalla said, "More details of promoting this internationally renowned island would be made available shortly. This exciting new project is on a scale that's never been attempted before. Planned at 80square km, its the size of greater London and Nakheel are bringing this eye catching project to the rest of the world."

He also explained that there continues to be flattering interest in Nakheel's projects from the international market. While millions have labelled the project as one of the world's most ambitious and imaginative real estate projects, there are others who have already made investments in several of our properties, in the belief that they are among the most unique addresses on earth, he said, referring to Palm Jebel Ali, Palm Jumeirah and The World projects.

"Dubai is a very contemporary city, a major regional centre for trade, tourism and business, and one of the world's perfect models for multi cultural living. We are also blessed with visionary governance, tax free benefits, modern infrastructure and 365 days of sunshine. Living in Dubai or visiting the city for a holiday reflects all these advantages. We believe that this combination will be of great interest to several people attending the World Travel Market," Attalla concluded.
