Built on the high-speed 802.11G wirelesses standard, the DCS-3220G and DCS-5300G will make it even easier for businesses and security professionals to deploy high quality, feature-rich security and surveillance solutions. The 2 new models complement D-Link's existing camera lineup, which includes several high quality wired and wireless cameras.
Feature-packed for high functionality and hassle-free networking
The new models offer a full-featured surveillance system that connects to an Ethernet or wireless broadband network to provide remote high-quality video and audio. Using the latest 802.11g wireless standards, the cameras communicate at a maximum wireless signal rate of up to 54Mbps. Users can watch and listen remotely as both cameras capture sound and video while being easily accessed and controlled over the Internet using a simple web-browser (like Internet Explorer), from anywhere in the world.
Another advanced feature of the cameras is the 2-way audio communication feature. The cameras incorporate a powered speaker and microphone to allow users to remotely talk to anyone at your camera site.
Even with sophisticated networking functions built-in, there are no compromises in terms of audiovisual clarity and quality. The cameras use a CCD sensor that provides sharp video images with lifelike color representation at up to 30 frames per second. They also feature 4x digital zoom for close-up viewing using the Web interface. Plus, with low light sensitivity, they have the capability to monitor and record video in rooms with minimal lighting, making them ideal to use at night.
The DCS-5300G Wireless Security Camera comes with additional features like a pan, tilt, and zoom function that can be controlled from the Web interface or from the included remote control. The camera pans up to 270 degrees horizontally and tilts up to 90 degrees vertically. The pan/tilt speed can be adjusted to user preference while 4x digital zoom lets users remotely close-in on all the action. The DCS-5300G also comes with detachable antennas with reverse SMA connectors for external antenna attachment for even longer-range coverage.
Simple, out-of-the-box installation
Everything needed to setup, configure and operate the new D-Link security cameras in included in the box. Simple installation procedures, along with the built-in Web-based interface offer easy integration into your network environment. Powerful surveillance software is included to enhance the monitoring and management of the cameras, allowing users to archive video straight to the hard drive, playback and monitor as many as 16 cameras on a single screen, and set up motion detection to trigger video/audio recording and e-mail alerts.
The devices adhere to the Universal Plug & Play (UPnP™) specification which allow computers running Windows® XP/Me to automatically detect and recognize them. They are then added under 'My Network Places' for easy usage.
