MTC Group appoints a Bahraini as member of the Group Business Development team

MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), the kingdom's most innovative mobile services provider, announced recently the appointment of Bahraini National Saleh Abdullah Saleh as a member of the MTC Group Business Development team.

"We are committed to nationalization efforts as part of our wider commitment to the development of local communities and I am therefore pleased to be welcoming Saleh, as a member of the business development team for the MTC Group, Bahrain-based. During the last 10 months we have enjoyed successful business growth, and I have no doubt that Saleh and the team will be successful in strengthening MTC Group and MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)'s position", commented Dr. Saad Al Barrak, Chief Executive Officer, MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain).

Prior to joining the MTC Group, Saleh occupied the post of Business Development Manager at The Benefit Co. where he was in-charge developing and marketing the range of financial and payment services, implementing Strategies and managing relationships with regional and international partners

In 1992, Saleh joined International Turnkey Systems (ITS) as Customer Support Engineer. Three years later he was promoted to Banking Sales Executive for Bahrain and Qatar, where he spent two years handling Sales and Marketing activities of ITS solutions to Banks in Bahrain and Qatar and developed new business opportunities. Three years later, Saleh played the role of Bahrain Branch Manager for five years where he managed the Bahrain Branch activities and operation and the Bahrain office sales operation in the financial, telecomm and government sectors.

Saleh started his career in 1991 where he played the role of Control & Instrumentation Engineer at the Bahrain Petroleum Company.

Holding an Honours Degree in Control and Computer Engineering from the Westminster University in England, Saleh is undergoing an MBA in Finance and Marketing program with De Paul University at the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance.

MTC-Vodafone comes as a result of a Network Partner Agreement between the Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC), a GCC regional company, borne in Kuwait and Vodafone, a global company based in the UK. MTC-Vodafone, having been as chosen by Bahrain's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority to develop the 2nd GSM service, launched its services on December 28th, 2003.
