Financial services and IT leaders from around the world will gather in Bahrain from 14-18 May 2005 at the third annual global Information Communications Technology Conference, Workshops and exhibition.
Being held under the patronage of H.E. Ali Saleh bin Saleh, the Minister of Commerce, Kingdom of Bahrain, FutureIT Conference & Exhibition is the region's leading event dedicated to the specialized needs of the Information Communications Technology marketplace.
The event, which is being held for the third consecutive year pursuant to the outstanding success of FutureIT 2004, features three days of IT Conference, five days of IT Exhibition, and two days of three parallel post-conference Workshops. FutureIT Conference and Exhibition is brought to you by Creative Knowledge and its strategic alliance partner, Bahrain Internet Society.
Today, the event was officially launched at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center. Present at the signing ceremony were Mr. Ahmed Hujairy, Chairman of the Bahrain Internet Society, Mr. Kadhem Saeed, acting-CEO of BIEC and Mr. Waleed Kanoo, CEO of Creative Knowledge.
"FutureIT provides an opportunity for ICT services decision-makers to see the latest technologies at an event tailor-made to their requirements, without having to attend several worldwide generic events. This new event is the only regional event to explore, display and unveil next-generation Information and Communications technologies," explains Ahmed Hujairy, Chairman of Bahrain Internet Society.
He also said that he was very pleased with the success of the previous events and appreciates the renewed commitment from the many members who have made outstanding contribution in making event a success.
FutureIT will take place at the state-of-the-art Bahrain International Exhibition Centre. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Kadhem Saeed, acting-CEO of BIEC, said, "We are very pleased that the BIS and CK have chosen to bring this key event to BIEC. This is further proof that the BIEC is fully geared to providing outstanding conference and trade show facilities. We are happy to extend our full support to the event and we wish them all success."
"Top executives from regional Government ministries, agencies, banks, financial institutions and other leading industries have all endorsed the event for the past two years. The event has grown in size and stature over the last two years and the coming event will even be bigger. The growth is evident because of increased IT investment by the region's governments, banks and other institutions." says Waleed Kanoo, CEO of Creative Knowledge, the event organizer.

In addition to a global trade exhibition showcasing best-of-breed solutions, FutureIT also includes a 3-day conference and 3 parallel two-day post-conference workshops. The event will also feature several networking opportunities and receptions.
FutureIT is supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Bahrain Internet Society, Bahrain IT Society, and Major International IT Vendors. A senior-level advisory panel is currently being set up to develop the content of the conference, exhibition and the workshops.
