UASC profits jump 98pc

The United Arab Shipping Company has reported a 98 per cent rise in nine-month profits to USD79m. The major Gulf shipping line transported 818,000 TEUs up from 700,000 TEUs in the same period last year. Officials confirmed plans to build eight new container ships.
