The Middle East Hotel Industry Seminar, taking place at the JW Marriott Mirage City on Thursday, April 18, is designed to complement the Depa Middle East Hotel Awards 2002 which will be presented later that evening at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Semiramis Inter-Continental Hotel Cairo.

"We're pleased to be sponsoring this important regional hotel industry seminar, and at the same time taking the opportunity to highlight our chauffeur-drive services," said Andy Johnston, general manager of Hertz Egypt.

"Chauffeur drive is a highly popular option with all our vehicles, and one we're looking to expand to give visitors to Egypt every chance to explore the country's many historical, cultural and other touristic attractions.

"We have an ever-increasing number of delighted clients who feel that their driver is one of the reasons they've enjoyed their stay in Egypt so much."

The Middle East Hotel Industry Seminar takes advantage of the presence in Cairo, for the Depa Awards, of leading regional and international hotel and tourism experts. The format will comprise a combination of short presentations by a number of the panellists, followed by an open debate.

The seminar features two separate sessions of interest to hoteliers, hotel owners, developers, consultants and suppliers involved in the Middle East hotel industry.

Complimentary VIP limousine transfers between downtown/central Cairo and the JW Marriott Mirage City are available on request from Hertz on a first come, first served basis.

Key presentations will include one by Jean-Paul Herzog, Vice President, Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon & Syria, Hilton International, on Re-Activating Tourism in the Middle East, and another on New Initiatives in Hotel Development and Financing by Dr Fawaz Sabri, Head of Finance & Investment, Depa Hotel Interiors.
