Iraqi delegation to Iraq Procurement to be headed by H.E. Dr. Aiham Al-Samarie

The Iraqi ministerial delegation to attend Iraq Procurement 2004 - Amman, taking place on 22-24 November 2004, will be headed by H.E. Dr Aiham Al-Samarie, Iraqi Minister of Electricity, it was announced yesterday.

Dr. Al-Samarie will be present in his official ministerial capacity and will be accompanied by a high level delegation from the ministry. Confirmation has also been received on the attendance of Abdul Sahib Al-Kutub, senior advisor to the Iraqi Minister of Oil H.E. Thamer Ghadhban. Three director generals will accompany him from the Iraqi oil industry.

"We are delighted to be bringing a delegation of this high level to Amman," said Raminder Singh-Barmi, managing director of Iraq Procurement. "We are honoured to have received such support for the Iraq Procurement initiative, as we look to aid Iraq's future development.

Iraq Procurement looks to realise the enormous trade and investment potential of Iraq, by offering opportunities for the international business community to meet with ministers and senior decision makers to form partnership agreements and secure the supply of essential goods and services.
