Dubai becomes 55th E-destination on SWISS network
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, November 16 - 2004 at 11:13
- PRESS RELEASE
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), Switzerland's national carrier, has launched e-ticket services in Dubai; enabling passengers travelling with the airline to Zurich and 53 other e-ticket destinations, easier travel alternatives to the traditional methods.
Booking e-tickets can be done via the Internet, over the phone or through the SWISS office Dubai, however e-ticket dispenses with the need for the more traditional printed ticket. SWISS will issue receipts for the ticket, either by post, fax or email, which are the only thing required for check-in at Dubai International Airport. Alternately, passengers who mislay their receipt can simply present they passport as proof of identification in order to collect their boarding.
E-ticket with SWISS is available at 55 destinations around the world, including countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. Passengers travelling to Zurich and beyond to any of SWISS' 53 other e-ticket destinations can avail of the service, however other destinations not included on the e-ticket service will still require the ticket coupon to be issued via a travel agent or through the SWISS office in Dubai.
