  • PRESS RELEASE

Univadis.md launched the world biggest medical library and research engine for physicians in UAE, filling the gap between free search engines and high-end research services.

By delivering sophisticated research tools with convenient access to the free Web, paid online services and proprietary medical databases, Univadis.md will empower individual physicians & researchers to efficiently locate, organize and deliver medical answers.

Univadis.md has partnered with Science Press Internet Services (SPIS), a leading provider of online medical content to provide an innovative solution to the growing need of GCC doctors in finding medical information quickly and conveniently.

The result was the creation of "Medical Literature Finder", the first medical search engine, that provides one simple interface to search & access the most extensive, high quality, up-to-date, & specialized library of online medical resources, in only a few seconds.

This finder will enable physicians to have access to 15 million PUB MED citations + 4,000 full text articles from 5,000 medical journals. They will also be able to follow the daily clinical news through Reuters Health News that is updated 3 times a day and covers 56 different specialties. Moreover, the literature finder has Braunwald Atlas Plus, a special feature that allows physicians to download any of the 4,000 images with editorial comments based on their specialties.

"As a health care professional, one of the direct benefits of univadis.md, is the ability to search and access the most up-to-date Pub Med abstracts and articles related to Obstetrics and Gynecology. This service is provided by the powerful search engine of univadis Medical Literature Finder, which has a simple, easy-to-use interface producing search results in seconds. By retrieving such articles, I am continuously updated with the latest studies, trials and treatment guidelines in Obstetrics and Gynecology which are of tremendous use in my day to day clinical practice." Said Dr. Rasha Al Za'abi, Obstetrics & Gynecology Resident, Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi

Through the medical literature finder, UAE physicians can go over two million word documents written by renowned practitioners, five million PDF files created by medical publishers and thousands of volumes of slide presentations compiled by medical institutions.

"Doctors need all the time they can dedicate for their patients, and at the same time they want to get the most up-to-date, highest quality content with the little time they can spare. This is the content that will always place them on the competitive edge with their colleagues, and ahead of their clinical practice and therapeutic guidelines. The "Medical Literature Finder" on univadis.md not only has this kind of medical content, but also has the fastest search engine to access it." Said Mr. Nader Abu Chakra, univadis.md's Regional Marketing Coordinator for the Middle East and Africa.

Univadis.md provides secure communications to a network of more than 2,000 physicians in UAE, helping physicians respond to a myriad of challenges while improving patient care, increasing practice revenue and access to new insured patients, and reducing practice liability.
