"The new flights will enable our passengers from Dubai to have early arrivals in Hong Kong and conveniently take connecting flights to their destinations in North Asia, Southeast Asia, China, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada," revealed Mr. Herbert.

While the aviation and travel industries are reeling from rising fuel costs, Cathay Pacific's move to add new flights in the region solidifies the airline's commitment in servicing the Middle East market.

With the addition of two evening non-stop flights, passengers now have more options and can either choose to take early evening flights or the existing night departures and conveniently catch connecting flights to their intended destinations. Expatriates traveling to the Philippines, for example, will be able to reach Manila before 12 noon and maximize the rest of the day for leisure or traveling further to provinces.

In celebration of this development, Cathay Pacific is offering special rates to passengers who must purchase their tickets starting November 17 to 30 and fly on December 4 from Dubai to destinations like Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

"Middle East is an important market for Cathay Pacific considering the huge number of expatriates and locals traveling in and out of the region. We simply want to give them better service and more options to Southeast Asia, North and East Asia as well as Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada," concluded Mr. Herbert.

Cathay Pacific flies 11 times a week from Dubai to Hong Kong and will be 13 times a week starting December onwards.
