Samsung to showcase pioneering world-class products at Dubai 'Big 5 show'

Samsung Electronics, the world leader in digital appliances will unveil their state-of-the-art products reiterating their supremacy at the Big 5 Show in Dubai.
Samsung Gulf Electronics Senior Manager Mr. Keun Sang Yoo, Senior Manager, Home Appliance Division said, "Samsung has applied its digital technology to develop a completely new air conditioner concept that has undergone more than a year of clinical trials and has been certified by leading agencies. In addition, Samsung' extremely powerful UTR technology has been applied to provide optimal indoor cooling in temperatures of 54°C and higher. We are now happy to present our latest offerings to our valued customers in the Middle East. In the process, we have written a new chapter in the history of air conditioners."
The company will showcase a range of health conscious refrigerators, washing machines, air-purifiers, air-conditioners equipped with nano-technology. Samsung has applied the sophisticated nano-technology to develop a sterilizing function in its home appliances, removing 99.9 per cent of the two harmful microorganisms, Staphylococci and Escherichia coli.
The highlight of the Samsung pavilion last year was the new DVM (Digital Variable Multi) system with the world's first PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) compressor in air conditioning. The DVM air conditioning system is operated by a variable-capacity compressor and is accommodated by multiple evaporators (indoor units). It is the next-generation modular system in the world of high-efficiency air conditioning. It has undoubtedly changed the face of cooling associated with high-rise buildings. It provides a broad range of different applications for settings such as offices, hotels and schools.
The Big 5 show is another avenue to highlight the technological progress made by the Samsung brand over the years. Samsung Electronics, the regional and global leader in digital convergence technology, has been once again recognised as the most valuable brand in the world. According to the recent BusinessWeek magazine and Interbrand Consultancy's annual survey of the top 100 global brands, Samsung's brand value registered a 16 per cent growth over last year, more than doubling its value from the $5.2 billion in 2001 to $12.5 billion in 2004.
