  • PRESS RELEASE

Nottinghamshire-based Creature Comforts are making a return visit to Al Fares Dubai 2004 this December to exhibit at the 5th International Equine Trade Fair and to sponsor the bedding in the 16 stables that will accommodate horses participating in the entertainment activities.

Creature Comforts are providing their Premium Pine Flakes dust extracted bedding for horses from the Dubai Mounted Police, polo ponies, show jumpers and carriage horses taking part in demonstrations and being accommodated in the 16 temporary stables constructed on-site.

It is expected that over 5,000 visitors will attend this world class event which includes a veterinary pavilion for equine feeds, supplements, breeding techniques and other veterinary services. Other pavilions will focus on equestrian sports, riding for the disabled, equine art and lifestyle products and there will also be seminars on horse management, breeding, breaking, schooling and grooming with a demonstration by Pat Parelli on his natural horsemanship. Creature Comforts are looking forward to welcoming some well-known event and endurance riders, such as Matthew Wright and Beccy Broughton to their stand.

Both riders together with international eventer, Pippa Funnell, already bed their horses on Creature Comforts' Premium Pine Flakes and use their unique high performance feeds, such as Alfalfa Gold, Racing Green, Racing Blue and Natural Alfalfa.

It will be the second visit to Al Fares for Creature Comfort who attended in 2002. Since then the company has gone from strength to strength after establishing its product portfolio with many successful horse racing yards, including Godolphin. The company has also linked up with Nigel Brannick as their distributor for the UAE and is achieving significant sales of its high fibre / high oil feed product - Alfalfa Gold - through this route. Nigel is an ex-jockey who first came to the Middle East in 1980 as stable jockey for Sultan Qaboos of Oman. He went on to spend the next 24 years in and around the region before starting his own company eight months ago to represent overseas equine-related collectives.

Joint owner and director of Creature Comforts, Jo Bower, said: "We are delighted to be returning to Al Fares especially in the light of our sales success in Dubai. We certainly see it as a growth area for us and believe there is a great deal of untapped potential."
