Recently unveiled at the Beirut Motor Show, it is a significant step in Cadillac's ongoing brand renaissance.

Having been acclaimed a 'show-stopper' during its world-unveiling at the New York Motor Show in April, General Motors was pleased to receive a similar response at the Beirut Motor Show.

"The car has received phenomenal response and has caused significant waves in the international market," said Fadi Ghosn, General Motors' Regional Marketing Manager for Premium Brands. "Targeted at the luxury segment, the Cadillac STS is a testament to our quest for perfection in the art and science of automotive design. The STS is designed to provide the discerning Middle East buyer with an enhanced and unforgettable driving experience."

The name of the game for the 2005 Cadillac STS is performance, and this striking vehicle is the first and only vehicle in its segment to offer All Wheel Drive (AWD) configuration. Purchasers will be offered a choice of two engines; a standard 3.6-liter V6 while optional is Cadillac's 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine.

While the STS is true to Cadillac's performance-oriented roots, a number of chassis refinements ensure a smooth ride that keeps drivers fresh and comfortable without sacrificing the driving experience.

Road impacts and other harsh inputs are effectively absorbed and dissipated through ride-tuned tires, dampers, suspension components and bushings, as well as improved structure in body-to-chassis interfaces and additional refinements in the engine mounts.

StabiliTrak is integrated with the traction control and ABS systems, assisting the vehicle in maintaining the driver's intended path by applying a brake force at any corner of the vehicle independent of the driver's use of the brake pedal.

At first glance, there's no mistaking the STS as anything but a contemporary Cadillac. While its overall shape brings a faster profile and more rake than its CTS sibling, its form is still elegant and graceful. The STS is the largest sedan offering in the Sigma-based family.

Technological appointments on the STS are plentiful, purposeful and driver oriented. Applications include a Keyless Access system with a push button start, Adaptive Remote Start system, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); reconfigurable, four-color heads-up display (HUD), heated and ventilated seats; and heated steering wheel.

"The 2005 Cadillac STS is a further indication of our commitment to reclaim our position as a leading global player in the automotive industry," added Ghosn. "An eye-catching series of all-new vehicles have made their debut over the last three years - the Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, CTS, XLR, and now the STS."

Navigation
GCC customers will benefit from the all-new navigation system featured in the 2005 Cadillac STS. The STS' Navigation System allows drivers to plan their route before setting out on a trip, and receive turn-by-turn route map and guidance with voice prompts throughout their journey. The system's advanced database allows the driver to select their destination from various areas and choices, from street addresses and intersections to destinations stored in the memory and even points of interest around town.

Peace of Mind
All 2005 and onwards Cadillac models come with a free service and maintenance package for 4 years or 100,000km (whichever comes first), in addition to around the clock roadside assistance and General Motor's patented bumper-to-bumper warranty. This unsurpassed care package offers 2005 Cadillac customers an unparalleled sense of security and total peace of mind, enhancing the overall Cadillac experience.
