The reseller/retailer focused promotion will begin in the last week of November and run through until the end of the year. How 'D-Link Dollars' works
The D-Link Dollar promotion is designed with maximum simplicity, transparency and verification efficiency in mind, so winning channel-partners can redeem their prizes without unnecessary delays.
D-Link will offer the reseller channel D-Link Dollars with every purchase of D-Link products through its authorized distributors. A fixed number of D-Link Dollars are
pre-assigned to the top-selling 20 D-Link products. Resellers and higher-volume retailers will be given a copy of the dollar allocation table along with a bracketed list of redeemable Prizes. They will then be able to request and collect their D-Link Dollars with every purchase. Having this information handy, resellers can set their own targets depending on the prize(s) they find most attractive. Resellers can then focus on what they do best which is selling.
At the end of the promotion period, upon proper verification, resellers will be able to redeem their accumulated dollars for valuable prizes. D-Link Dollars will be issued with unique serial numbers for easy authentication and will be available in $5, $20 and $50 denominations. On the backside of the bill, will be a list of redeemable prizes and the number of D-Link Dollars required to redeem them. Promotion terms and conditions as well as the promotion website will also be specified on the back.
The Prizes
D-Link is offering spectacular prizes as part of the D-Link Dollar promotion this year. The prize list includes high-end consumer electronics like home theatres, plasma-screen TVs, PDAs, mobile phones and cameras. The grand-prize includes 2 brand new cars. To make the promotion even more exciting, D-Link Dollars are redeemable for cash.
Easy Redemption
'The D-Link Dollar Promotion is unique in the sense that instead of complicated coupons, vouchers or promissory notes, D-Link is using high-quality customized currency look-alike dollar bills, which will hold real value,' said Wilson Xavier, 'Resellers will likely be putting away accumulated dollars in a wallet for safe-keeping as they are redeemable for valuable prizes or even cash, which makes them as good as cash, as far as the promotion is concerned.
