Rafiq Al Hariri to share his vision of the challenges faced by the Arab region during the upcoming Arab Strategy Forum

Rafiq Al Hariri, former Lebanese Prime Minister will participate in the Arab Strategy Forum, which will be held in Dubai under the patronage of H.H General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence from December 13-15, 2004 under the theme 'The Arab World in 2020'.
Rafiq Al Hariri is one of the renowned political leaders in the Arab World. His experience in the sphere of business and economy will add new dimensions to how the issues and challenges faced by the Arab world should be addressed.
Al Hariri's participation reflects his commitment to dealing with the major challenges faced in the Arab region and the necessity of overcoming the various obstacles to encourage collaboration between Arab countries. Keynote speakers such as Al Hariri will make valuable contribution to the discussions and help the decision makers envision the future of the region.
The main objective of the Arab Strategy Forum is to encourage open and frank dialogue between political leaders, experts, and academics from both within and outside the region. The importance of this year's Forum lies in addressing the controversial and challenging issues such the improvement of political systems in the Arab world in light of the political and democratic reforms, the future of Islamic movements and their impact on governing systems, establishing a security system for the Gulf region, the economic and social costs of regional security instability and the role the region plays in the new world order.
Eight pre-eminent local and international organisations have come forward to offer their unstinted support for this year's Arab Strategy Forum. The premiere annual event has six Organising Partners and two Media Partners. They are Emirates National Oil Company Ltd (ENOC), Abraaj Capital, PricewaterhouseCooper, DaimlerChrysler Middle East, National Bank of Dubai and Gulf News, in addition to our Media Partners Al Sharq Al Awsat and CNN. The Arab Strategy Forum will provide valuable insights, which will help in improving the status of the Arab World.
