  • PRESS RELEASE

The region's largest construction fair entered its third day with a firm increase in attendance as well as a steady stream of praise received from both exhibitors and trade visitors.

Big 5 2004 has seen construction specialists gather from around the globe to participate in what is now recognised as a truly world class Trade Fair.

Anwar Abdul Rahman: "I've not been at Big 5 for six years, but I have to take my hat off to Dubai, it's grown from three halls to fill the DIECC. I don't think there's an event bigger than this one in the Middle East. It's well organised, the general layout is excellent and I have no doubt that there will be some very big deals here."

Pramod Punnoose: "I've been at The Big 5 for three or four years. It's the best place to get updated on the latest events, which is why I come here, both as exhibitor and visitor."

Sunil Kumar: "This is my sixth time here, it's a great show. Our dealers are participating - we're manufacturers of bathroom fittings - and it's a good place to look at the competition."

Emad Eltohamy: "A show like this, with people from all over the world, is great value for Dubai. It's indicative of just how well the construction industry is doing here. And for me, personally, as well, it's wonderful, since I'm building my villa and I can look at what's new and what to incorporate."

Bob Hughes of dmg world media Dubai Ltd said, "The feedback we have received from show attendees and exhibitors has been very positive. Deals have taken place and many new contacts have been acquired. The success of the show grows each year and we are extremely proud that Big 5 provides a vital cog in the phenomenal growth of construction in this region"

The Big 5 takes place from 20-24 November at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, with the show expected to attract over 30, 000 visitors, 1600 exhibitors from over 50 countries will be present.
