Saudi Arabia to participate in the International Health Tourism Exhibition in Bahrain on the 15th December

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Supreme Commission for Tourism and the Ministry of Health, will participate in the International Health Tourism Exhibition scheduled to take place at the International Exhibitions Center in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 15 – 17 December 2004 under the umbrella of the Supreme Commission for Tourism and in partnership with the Ministry of Health.

By participating in the three-day exhibition, the Kingdom aims at highlighting the medical tourism product of the Kingdom and putting it on the world map. In addition to that, the Saudi participation aims at showcasing the various medical products and services available in the Kingdom, showcasing the attractions that support medial tourism as well as enhancing cooperation between participating companies offering direct communications with target audiences including the various media, customer, and Gulf Tourist Operators.

The participation of both private and public sector companies in the field of medical tourism under the umbrella of the Supreme Commission for Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism falls in line with SCT’s strategy to develop and market healthcare tourism and partner with sectors that have a direct link to healthcare services. Medical and healthcare tourism is one of the most important tourism markets in the world and the Supreme Commission for Tourism is working to make use of the Kingdom’s advanced medical capabilities in terms of technology and resources to present a distinctive tourism product that contributes in diversifying the Kingdom’s tourism offering and develop national tourism.

The International Tourism Exhibition is recognized as one of the most important exhibitions taking place in the Middle East which specializes in healthcare Tourism. The Exhibition was launched for the first time in the Middle East in Bahrain in attracting more than 5300 specialists representing various sectors.
