More than 50,000 people are expected to use the new service, which will be launched during Cityscape 2004, the region's premier property investment and development event, held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, November 29 to December 1.
Previously, only property consultants registered with Eqarat.com had access to the exhaustive information it collects from its network of agents, which represents the most comprehensive overview of residential and commercial properties for purchase in the Middle East. The updated service will mean anybody interested in buying property in the GCC can view the latest apartments, villas and homes online, on an easy-to-use interface.
'Since launching Eqarat.com, we have been overwhelmed by the positive response from people working inside the real estate industry,' said Mohammed Safin, General Manager, Eqarat.com. 'In opening 'The List' to a wider audience, we will be providing access to 1,000s of properties online and enabling agents to use our site as a tool to market their offerings.'
'After extensive consultation, we have now developed a platform that everyone can use and update, which we hope will continue to drive the ongoing inspiring development of the region's property market,' he added.
In addition to launching 'The List', Eqarat.com, which supports the largest agent network in the Middle East, with access to more than 1,000 real estate organizations worldwide, will be exhibiting at Cityscape 2004. During the three-day event, they plan to highlight their range of service, including home insurance, mortgages, life insurance and furnishing.
The property market in the Middle East is booming, with the total value of current developments valued at $150 billion, according to the latest estimates. Eqarat.com will use the conference and exhibition to highlight its services to leading regional and international figures from the real estate industry.
'Cityscape provides us with a forum to target the key people within our industry,' said Safin. 'We provide a complete range of services to buyers from around the world who are looking to invest their money and time in the region.'
