MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) appoints Chief Commercial Officer

MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), the innovative mobile service provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced recently the appointment of Mahmoud Hashish as the company's Chief Commercial Officer.
Announcing this appointment, Khalid Al Farkh, Chief Operating Officer at MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), said: "We are delighted that Mahmoud has joined our management team. With his depth of industry experience, technology know-how and market savvy, Mahmoud has a track record in bringing innovation to key telecommunications markets, and will be instrumental in guiding the company to the next phase of its development. Mahmoud will take care of the expanding Bahrain market and also build on the innovative products and services being developed by MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)."
"Mahmoud comes with a wealth of telecoms, IT and commercial expertise from MTC-Vodafone (Kuwait) and his appointment is an acknowledgment of the importance of the Bahrain market to the MTC Group." Al Farkh added.
Mahmoud has over 25 years of Sales and Marketing management experience with leading Banks, IT and Telecom multinationals, most recently as manager of the Information Technology Division at MTC-Vodafone (Kuwait). He holds a Master degree in Computing from the Monash University, Australia.
Prior to assuming his position with MTC Group, where he supported the far reaching strategic development programs being brought to life by the MTC Board in Kuwait, Mahmoud migrated to Australia where he held the position of Senior Technical Consultant at ACI Worldwide (Applied Communications Inc.). He led several regional projects in the Banking and Telecommunications Industries throughout Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore.
In April 1992, Mahmoud moved to Kuwait where he played the role of Senior Account Manager at International Turnkey Systems (ITS). He was responsible for developing the company's business in the Telecommunications industry. Mahmoud helped in the growth of ITS from a regional annual revenue of US$6.3m in 1991 to US$12m in 1995. Before joining the Kuwait office, Mahmoud started with ITS as Senior Telecommunications Systems Programmer with Al Rajhi Banking & Investment Corp in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mahmoud participated in the implementation of the Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) and Point of Sales machines across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He worked at the National Bank of Egypt as Senior Computer Specialist, supporting on several mission critical systems and was responsible for the telecommunications programming in the core banking systems.
