- United Arab Emirates: Monday, November 29 - 2004 at 14:55
- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Development and Investment Authority (DDIA) has - for the third year running - confirmed its leading participation and support for this year's Cityscape Conference and Exhibition.
"The organisers of Cityscape Conference & Exhibition have promised a forum that will feature world-class architects, designers and leading property investment and development experts - exactly the kind of forum that the DDIA would like to be associated with," said Saeed Al Muntafiq, Director General of the DDIA and Chairman of the Board of the Dubai Healthcare City.
Al Muntafiq pointed out that the major areas of focus for the DDIA is to ensure the development and growth of Dubai and the country, and to meet the targets and objectives set by His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence.
Building Dubai
"The Cityscape Conference and Exhibition meets with one of the major aspects of our work at the DDIA - that of promoting and building a city of world-class infrastructure with iconic buildings that could look at home along the most sophisticated boulevards of New York, Paris, London or Vienna," Al Muntafiq pointed out.
He said it is widely acknowledged that Dubai is leading the building and construction boom that is now being seen all over the Gulf. "Dubai brought 'waterfront' and 'reclaimed resorts' to the region. Dubai is being acknowledged as having the highest per square kilometre of construction activity in the world.
"The city is building its future and a think-tank of world-renowned architects, designers and leading property investment and development experts right here in Dubai, will be a perfect moment to pause, evaluate how we have come this far, modify our policies and plans according to expert opinion and go ahead towards the future," Al Muntafiq pointed out.
Exciting Opportunities
Major property developments, increasing investment, and an Arabian renaissance in architecture and design are combining to create the world's most exciting opportunities for development in the property sector in the region. The opportunities are vast
Cityscape organisers say that the conference provides delegates with direct access to property markets the world over, a chance to network with the most powerful regional and international property investors and - most importantly - a learning experience like no other.
Cityscape is a networking event that attracts regional and international architects, property development professionals and global institutional investors to an annual showcase that celebrates the very best in commercial architecture and property design and development. The event as a whole attracts major investors from the international arena, looking for new projects and opportunities for development.
