"Since its creation, Cityscape has become a major international forum, encapsulating the very best of what the Middle East has to offer in terms of property design and investment opportunities," said Lord Laidlaw of Rothiemay, founder and chairman of IIR, organizers of Cityscape. "We are delighted to welcome exhibitors, delegates, and visitors from across the world to this important property, investment and architecture showcase."

In the first three hours of opening, more than 1,200 visitors had passed through the doors of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, where Cityscape 2004 is being held.

Over 70 speakers will attend the conference scheduled to take place between 29 November and 1 December 2004. Top architects, international and regional property investment and development experts and urban planners from the US, Europe, the Middle East and Far East are expected to attend.

Running alongside this world-class conference is the Cityscape 2004 exhibition, which this year will attract over 5,000 leading international figures from the real estate industry.

"We expect this year's Cityscape to the best ever. There has been an increase in the number of exhibitors, and we are projecting the number of visitors to increase significantly on last year," said Neil Hickman, Cityscape project director, IIR Middle East.

This year, Cityscape will also feature the prestigious Cityscape Architectural Review Awards - "Design for an Emerging World". Working with the world-renowned Architectural Review magazine on this exciting event, Cityscape will recognize and promote excellence in the regional architecture and design industry.
