This exclusive low-rise resort, a retreat in the desert, is surrounded by natural landscaping and offers 115 rooms and suites in 16 double-storied exclusively designed individual buildings, featuring traditional Gulf décor accentuated by the use of natural stones, dark wood and Arabian glasswork. All rooms and suites situated on the ground floor of the hotel have direct garden access and most of the rooms and suites on the first floor feature private balconies or terraces.

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa features a variety of restaurants and bars including 'Al Hadheerah', the region's first authentic open air Arabic Desert Restaurant; a fine-dining experience combined with live Arabic entertainment including a henna-painter, shisha area and falcon display, the 'Al Sarab Rooftop Bar & Lounge' and an all-day dining restaurant named 'Al Forsan'.

In addition, the resort provides a wide selection of health and leisure facilities including the luxurious 'Satori Spa' with unmistakable flavours of the Arabian Gulf featuring indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, a well-equipped gymnasium, a local heritage and art display in the lobby lounge, a desert-side swimming pool and bar with breathtaking views and a children's play area.

The resort appeals to both international and GCC travellers who wish to enjoy Arabian hospitality in a traditional, yet comfortable surrounding. This unique Arabian desert experience coupled with Jumeirah International's hospitality promises to be an exciting addition to the Dubai experience and our growing portfolio of hotels.'

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa will fully open on the 2nd December celebrating the occasion of the 33rd UAE National Day.
