- PRESS RELEASE
As part of its endeavors to maintain a meaningful public-private sector cooperation for the common good of the emirate's booming tourism industry, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has organized a meeting with Ministry of Labour officials to discuss issues pertaining to hotel establishments and tour operators.
The meeting discussed the exemption of five and four star hotels, deluxe hotel apartments and tour operators from the bank guarantee, which is normally charged for every extra employee in the establishment beyond which specified by the ministry.
The Ministry of Labour representatives informed that although the five and four-star hotels were already exempted from this, the issue was under discussion with regard to the deluxe hotel apartments and tour operators.
The meeting also discussed other important issues related to promoting Dubai and making the emirate a more visitor-friendly place in order to enhance tourists' experience in Dubai.
