MTC Group sponsors Raheeb Team for 2005

MTC Group announced today their joint sponsorship of Kuwait's Raheeb Team for boat racing throughout the 2005 season.
"MTC is thrilled to partner with the Raheeb Team and looks forward to a successful fast boat racing year for the Kuwait team in 2005," said Mijbil Al Ayoub, Corporate Communications and Relations Manager, for MTC Group. Al Ayoub continued, "It is especially rewarding that MTC is able to support a strong Kuwait team during these entertaining, family events in the Gulf."
In commenting on this event, Abdullatif Al Omani, Raheeb Team Manager said, "I would like to thank Mobile Telecommunications Company for sponsoring this event. We are pleased to have this first partnership with MTC. This event has proven popular in the past and we are of course hoping to win the first prize in this tournament". Al Omani added, "Personally, we chose MTC Group to sponsor this event because it is truly a distinguished company and it is widespread within the region, keeping in mind that it is also a market leader. Since we have approached the company, MTC has been very helpful and has been showing its extensive support towards this event".
The boat racing season consists of nine races in 2005, all of which are to be held in United Arab Emirates at the Dubai International Marine Club and the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club. MTC-Vodafone customers can participate in SMS competitions to win tickets to attend the races in Dubai. MTC's SMS customers can also visit www.mtc-vodafone.com for contest entry details.
Wooden powerboat racing is a unique sport in the Gulf, combining the excitement of competition with traditional elements, while promoting water safety and education. MTC is pleased to support Kuwait's Raheeb Team throughout the race series of 2005.
