- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, December 01 - 2004 at 14:42
- PRESS RELEASE
As construction on the most exciting retail and leisure complex in the Arab world continues to move forward, Mall of the Emirates is well on track to meeting its target completion date of September 2005.
"This project has clearly developed into one of the most impressive mall projects in the world. We are very excited about what lies ahead," stated Peter Walichnowski, Chief Executive Officer, Majid Al Futtaim Investments. "We are at a very crucial point in the development of the mall - the sheer scale of the project and the magnitude of the structures is phenomenal."
With the recent naming of Ski Dubai, the region's first indoor ski resort, featuring one of the world's longest indoor ski slopes, the mall has taken on a new identity, positioned as a destination in itself within the region.
In less than a year, Mall of the Emirates, the most exciting retail and leisure complex in the Arab world and one of the biggest malls outside North America, will open to the public offering shopping, entertainment and skiing all in one place.
