4th Annual Marketing and Branding Congress to be held in Sharjah

The 4th Annual Marketing and Branding Congress in Sharjah will be held this Tuesday, October 9, at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

The event, organized by Alleem Knowledge Center 'AKC', is expected to attract around 250 delegates from the government, semi-government, private and academic sectors.

AKC founder and Chairman Dr. Rashid Alleem, Director General of Department of Seaports and Customs and Sharjah Free Zones Authority, will open the session with a presentation on 'How to Prepare an Integrated Marketing Plan and Program.'

Sixteen speakers have been lined up to present new concepts and best practices in marketing and branding after the global financial crisis such as social media-related strategies.

The impact of social marketing to communities and social networks vis-a-vis brand image are among the topics.

Six speakers represent the academe coming from the University of Salford in Manchester, UK; Skyline University College, Sharjah; and Canadian University of Dubai.

In addition, the concept of 'Green Branding' will be presented by Dr. Mini Govindan of The Energy and The Research Institute in India, while Dr. Sami Rasamny of Emirates Transport will talk about their company's approach in developing a marketing model.
