Gulf Air appoints Kanoo Travel as its representative in Saudi Arabia

As part of its three year re-structuring strategy, Gulf Air has announced the appointment of Kanoo Travel as the airline's representatives for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, effective immediately.
James Hogan, Gulf Air's President and Chief Executive, who officially opened the office in Al Khobar with Kanoo's Mr. Abdullah Ali Kanoo, Chairman and CEO of Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo, and Mr. Mubarak Kanoo, the Deputy Group Chairman, said the moves are part of the airline's phased plan to relocate into 14 new offices throughout the Kingdom, the first after Al Khobar being Jeddah on 8th Decemeber.
Speaking to guests, Mr. Hogan said: "Gulf Air has gone through unprecedented change over the last year and a half and we are proving, now more than ever, that we are better for business and leisure travellers. As a customer focused airline we are intent on offering our customers a seamless travel experience by continuing to provide more convenient travel choices and introducing innovative products and enhancements. "
"We are delighted with this new partnership as the Kanoo family is one of the most respected names in air travel with a history stretching back close on 70 years.
Kanoo Travel is the largest travel company in the Middle East, with a team of travel specialists, operating a network of over 140 offices in the region, and through a global network of world class travel partners.

The new office locations are in the Al Moosa Complex, King Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz Road, AL Khobar and Al Khariaji Centre, Medina Road, Jeddah.
"2004 presented a number of unprecedented challenges to the travel industry as a whole, but strong partnerships such as this one with Kanoo, mean we have much to look forward to in 2005," concluded Mr. Hogan.
