The 70-room boutique hotel is the first Art+Tech design for Le Meridien in the region, and as part of the stylish contemporary look, it features a range of innovative room facilities.

"The hotel really is different, both in its look as well as in the manner in which guests are treated," Yaghi promised. "From help with visas, through to free airport transfers and the allocation of a guest service manager on each and every one of the hotel's floors, the visitor will always feel that he or she can count on the hotel to make travel a pleasure rather than a trial."

Among the hi-tech features of Le Meridien Tower is wireless high-speed Internet access throughout the hotel - enabling guests and visitors to connect to the web via their own laptops in areas such as the lobby as well as bedrooms.

In addition, business services are also mobile, with portable faxes, laptops and other IT equipment available that can be brought to the user, rather than the guest being confined to the business centre.

"It's been a long time coming, but at last technology has risen to the challenge of providing the essential communication that the travelling business executive needs - the ability to contact anyone, anywhere - and this is a unique feature of Le Meridien Tower," said Yaghi.

The hotel also caters to other requirements of its guests, with a multi-cuisine restaurant with open kitchens, pool and fitness centre, boutique shops, and stylish rooms with sea views.

Interior décor features elements of the Art+Tech design concept including local and international artworks, glass, the finest linens and furnishings, a power shower with all-over jets plus a 32-inch Interactive LCD plasma screen television.

Yaghi added: "Le Meridien is unique in launching Art+Tech as the hotel of the future showcasing the latest in design and technology developments. Combined with the strength of our global network and marketing, and already high service standards, there is no doubt that this is a winning formula in today's highly competitive hospitality industry."
