Wataniya Telecom takes Kuwait by storm with 'Funtec'

Wataniya Telecom, Kuwait's leading mobile provider today launched its new 'Funtec' promotion set to be Kuwait's most unique promotion to date.
"There's always more we can do to communicate directly with our customers, and we're taking every route to reach them," said Timo Everi, Director Marketing, Sales & PR, Wataniya Telecom. "New services are tailored for this market's mobile users: fun, dynamic and lifestyle leaders. This is exactly what we're offering and what we will continue offering through current and new services to ensure that all interests and likes are accommodated for."
The 'Funtec' promotion will include demonstrations and promotions daily in Marina Mall, and on weekends in Souq Salmiya, Fanar Mall and Muhallab Mall, with staff trained to provide help and guidance to mobile users while showcasing the latest services. Featured strongly in the campaign is the 'Funtec' team made up of six dynamic young people symbolizing all that 'Funtec' stands for in terms of excitement, freedom of expression and individuality. They will be touring Kuwait and will every Thursday night visit one of Kuwait's most popular venues to promote the fun and technology driven services.
"Wataniya Telecom's services are among the most advanced in the region, and provide Wataniya's customers with the latest in mobile entertainment," Everi continued. These services include the latest in popular Java games, ring tones, picture messaging, as well as video streaming and fast Internet. Funtec promotion accommodates for an entire spectrum of interests and hobbies. Users will receive the latest in sports news, headlines and current affairs. Stock market connoisseurs can subscribe to stock updates customized to their own portfolio. Friends and family can send each other Blue Mountain greeting cards and stay in touch through chat and email messaging.
The Funtec promotion team launched the campaign at Applebee's restaurant on Thursday, 2nd December from 7:00pm till 10:00pm. Customers should also listen out for the Funtec radio show on 103.7FM every Thursday from 8:00pm till 9:00pm. There are competitions on the radio, and great prizes to be won for those who SMS the correct answers.
