Al Rahma Center and MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) mark laying foundation stone of the Gym Center

Commemorating the International Day of Disabled Persons, Al Rahma Center and MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) celebrated on Tuesday, the laying of the foundation stone of the multi-purpose Gym Center building, which would be constructed at the expense of MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), the kingdom's most innovative mobile operator.
Mr. Rasheed Al Maraj, Chairman of Al Rahma Center and the Bahrain Association for Mental Retarded and Mahmoud Hashish, Acting Chief Operating Officer at MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), and a number of the company's senior officials attended the ceremony.
During the event, Mr. Rasheed Al Maraj signed the contract with Al Tasahul Contracting Company which won the tender managed by Al Rahma Center earlier this year. The execution of this project will be supervised by Adel Ahmadi - Engineering Company.
Commenting on this achievement, Mahmoud Hashish, Acting Chief Operating Officer at MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), said:" We are really proud to see these youngsters' dreams come true. We have decided to conduct this auction last year, in a move to demonstrate our enthusiasm and ability to serve and be a part of the community of Bahrain. We have always indicated our willingness and ability to play a part in the personal development of the overall development of the economy of Bahrain."
During the event, Rasheed Al Maraj expressed his profound happiness at the laying of the foundation stone of that center, and affirmed this initiative is considered to be one of the most important achievements for Al Rahma Center and for the Bahraini community.
He further expressed his gratefulness to the company's officials and all corporate companies for the conscientious efforts they exerted in supporting and playing a vital corporate citizen role in the development and benefit of the Bahrain society.
Al Rahma Center provides comprehensive services and programs for severely mentally disadvantaged youth in the form of regular day care. It currently accommodates up to 40 youngsters (male and female). The mission of this very specialized gym area is to answer the youngsters' needs by providing open comfortable space for movement and stretching activities.
