Attended by over 400 guests comprising celebrities, socialites and leading retailers, the event was marked by a unique approach to the concept of diamonds as symbols of love and eternity.
Jonathan Chippindale, Marketing Director of DTC for the Gulf region, explained that the gala event was part of the company's endeavours to increase awareness about diamonds. "It is important that the growth of Dubai as an international diamond trading hub be well matched with consumer education on various facets of the industry - from understanding the importance of diamonds, all the way up to how best to understand their attributes and the emotion value they bring as a gift.
"This event marked our first ever lavish gala event under the stars where retailers and consumers alike were offered the opportunity to interact with each other, and a platform where some of the best diamonds available in the Middle East were on display for viewing," he said.
