12 Lebanese companies participated in the first Horeca Kuwait exhibition

Twelve Lebanese companies were among the 66 participating at 'Horeca Kuwait', the first exhibition for the food and hotel equipment and services sector.

The exhibition was organised by Lebanese company Hospitality Services and Kuwaiti company Diplomat International, and was attended by Lebanese Ambassador to Kuwait Jawdat El-Hajjar and Abdallah Abdulrahman El-Tawil, the Kuwaiti Minister of Trade and Industry.

The exhibition held at the Kuwait Regency Palace Hotel attracted several economic stakeholders, businessmen and investors who were able to discover the new products and services of the hospitality industry on the stands distributed over 53 wings. 37 wings hosted Kuwaiti exhibitors while the remaining 16 received foreign exhibitors such as Lebanese, UAE, Bahraini, Jordanian, and US companies.

During the opening of the exhibition on behalf of Minister El-Tawil, the Under-Secretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Trade and Industry, Rachid El-Tabtabani, praised the importance of this event and declared, "The exhibition is comprehensive and meets the needs of a large segment of the society such as hotel, restaurants and cafés owners."

According to the Kuwaiti official, the exhibitors represent around 210 commercial agencies and the exhibition includes the latest developments in the hotel, hospitality and tourist industries. He declared being very pleased about the participation of several foreign entities and companies and wished that Kuwait will once again host this event, especially that the hotel, restaurant and tourist industries are deemed top-of-the-range industries. "The commercial opening of Kuwait and its commercial boom require the organization of such exhibitions that contribute to the country's commercial activity; the local market needs such industries that are considered inter-complementary", he stated.

El-Tabtabani hoped that this exhibition will be regularly organized in Kuwait and declared that it was a successful exhibition at all levels, especially with the variety of stands. He invited the professionals to visit the exhibition and discover the latest in the hospitality industry technology and services.

The following Kuwaiti public and private entities offered their cooperation to the two companies organizing this first-time exhibition in Kuwait: The Chamber of Trade and Industry of Kuwait, the Tourism Department within the Ministry of Information, the Kuwaiti Association of Hotel Owners and the Kuwaiti Association of Food Products Traders and Manufacturers. The following companies participated in the sponsorship of this exhibition: El Takaddom El Technology Company, Kaskow Airline Services, Tourist Projects Company, Middle East airlines (Lebanon), El-Nakhil Hotel and Resort Club, El-Mabrouk Manning Company.

The exhibition hosted companies working in the following sectors: food products, beverages, kneaders and ovens, food services, washing, maintenance and cleaning, tableware, linen, employees and workers uniforms, elegance, filling and packaging, furniture, IT systems and software, telecommunication, security, audiovisual means, site organization services, conferences, management of big areas, training, specialized schools and universities and gifts.

The exhibition attracted visitors interested in hotels, resorts, furnished apartments, restaurants, clubs, bakeries, pastry shops, central markets, retail sale records, architects, interior architects, contractors, consultants, fast-food restaurants, financial institutions, equipment suppliers, food and beverages suppliers, companies and persons working in the food services industry, investors and media persons.
