Acer extends customer service and support in Saudi Arabia

Following the success of its award-winning collect, repair and return service in Saudi Arabia, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd today announced that it is extending the warranty on its LCD monitors to three years, providing its customers in the Kingdom with even greater levels of customer service.

Acer, recently awarded Best Customer Support by the prestigious Windows Middle East magazine, has extended the service following positive feedback from consumers in Saudi Arabia.

"Since launching the initiative for our notebooks and LCD monitors in April, we have been overwhelmed by the response from our customers," said Philip Ashkar, director of sales and marketing, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. "We are extending the warranty on our monitors to three years, so people who buy Acer monitors can be assured they will receive the best levels of after-service care currently available in the Kingdom."

Acer, the number one supplier of notebook PCs in Saudi Arabia, recently extended the service to include LCD monitors and projectors in the UAE, following a successful pilot for its notebooks. Senior executives at the company are now considering widening the program to cover other products in its portfolio.

Customers experiencing problems with their LCD monitors can simply dial a toll-free number and provide a collection address. The monitor is then collected and taken to the nearest Authorized Service Provider, then delivered back to the customer as soon as it is repaired.

"Time is a precious commodity for most people in Saudi Arabia, which makes the collect, repair and return service an ideal solution for those that do not have the opportunity to take care of the more mundane tasks in their lives," added Ashkar.

"Customer service is a priority for Acer, and in the Kingdom, as in other parts of the region, Acer is leading the pack," he concluded.
