U.S. Robotics' 125 Mbps enabled Wireless Turbo products arrive in the Middle East markets
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, December 11 - 2004 at 12:44
- PRESS RELEASE
U.S. Robotics today announced that its 802.11g Wireless Turbo products are now available at 125 Mbps speeds.
"Customers purchasing U.S. Robotics wireless solutions today are buying 125 Mbps capable products increasing standard 802.11g performance up to 25 percent," said Tony Field, Product Manager, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), U.S. Robotics.
"At U.S. Robotics we understand that the wireless networking user in the Middle East markets is very sophisticated and technology savvy. Nothing but technology at the most cutting-edge will do. The new 125 Mbps enabled Wireless Turbo products respond to this demand in the region's vibrant IT market," explains Yusuf Syed, Middle East Regional Manager, U.S. Robotics. "Our user base can now speed up their connectivity, as well as significantly improve their data throughput rates, due to the unique new U.S. Robotics technology that places the increased speed on the same channel."
To ensure the fastest data throughput rates at all times, U.S. Robotics designed the 802.11g Wireless Turbo line for total compatibility with all 54 Mbps 802.11g, 22 Mbps 802.11b and 11 Mbps 802.11b wireless devices. U.S. Robotics' 802.11g Wireless Turbo products ensure that each device will securely connect independently at the highest speed possible with any combination of 802.11g and 802.11b wireless devices. Unlike other high-speed networking technology, U.S. Robotics maximises network capacity by placing all the speed on a single channel - enabling faster file transfers between multiple network users.
The U.S. Robotics 802.11g Wireless Turbo Products range includes the 802.11g Wireless Turbo Router (Model USR 8054), which is ideal for sharing a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection, data files, music and games among multiple computers.
125 Mbps speeds are also enhancing the performance of U.S. Robotics' 802.11g Wireless Turbo PCI Adapter (Model USR 5416), which allows users to wirelessly connect to the power of an entire network from their desktop computer. The included Site Survey feature makes finding the closest access point easy and simplifies wireless network configuration.
The U.S. Robotics 125 Mbps portfolio also includes the 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card (Model USR 5410). Designed for laptops, USR 5410 lets users take the power of an entire network with them to stay connected to e-mail, shared files and the Internet from wherever the user needs to. The PC card's unique low-power design gets the most from a laptop's battery to keep users online longer.
