His reactions at seeing the Palm and The World projects were those of astonishment and whole hearted praise.

Accompanied by his wife Myrna Colley-Lee, Morgan Freeman was hosted at the Nakheel Sales Centre by Wahid Attalla, Nakheel's Executive Director - Commercial and Operations and senior company officials where he was shown documentary films and had several questions to ask of the Nakheel Sales team. Freeman said that he was awed by his impressions of the two island projects that have astounded people from all around the world. "This is absolutely incredible - it is so good, it seems almost too good to be true," he said while watching the movies on the making of the two island projects.

Freeman and his wife were later escorted on board a special sightseeing boat organised for a first hand experience of the construction of the islands. While inspecting the islands, Attalla said, "While both projects were well off the ground and are closer to their dates of completion, each stage of construction continues to present itself as a feat of engineering and architectural marvel to the world. When we launched these projects, we were faced with the world's incredulous astonishment. However, as we progress, we are being met with their admiration."

According to Attalla, Morgan Freeman was clearly interested in seeing The Palm, Jumeirah and The World for himself and was impressed by the vision, planning, research and logistics that are an integral part of both projects, as well as the challenging schedule set to complete them. He added that both projects were running well on schedule with much of the footprints of both developments clearly visible above water - on full view to the visitors on the Nakheel boat.

Freeman himself was lavish with his praise for Dubai and the many developments in the city. "There is just so much to see and marvel at, and given the right opportunities, I will definitely come back here to Dubai. The World, in particular is very impressive, At the end of the day, when the 300 islands are ready, it will be knock-out destination for people form any part of the world," he stated.
