The new property, decorated in a traditional Arabic theme, will be Hilton's first in this undiscovered emirate and brings the number of Hilton hotels in the UAE to eight.

"Set away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, Ras Al Khaimah is known for its pleasant climate and magnificent landscapes, making it an ideal location for short holidays or a business retreat," said Franck Sebire, general manager, Hilton Ras Al Khaimah.

"Only a 60-minute drive from Dubai and on the borders of the Mussandam mountain range, guests can enjoy a wonderful variety of attractions including outdoor activities such as scuba diving, fishing, wadi-bashing, camel racing, desert and mountain trips," he explained.

This 214-room hotel, including one presidential suite, four executive suites and 17 junior suites, is situated on the picturesque waterfront with views of Ras Al Khaimah's Creek and comes with several leisure facilities including an outdoor swimming pool, two tennis courts, and a fitness room. Early next year, hotel guests will have access to the new Hiltonia Beach Club, which is located on a private beach and boasts a wide choice of water sports, a spectacular waterfall pool bar and an outdoor Mongolian Grill restaurant.

Within the hotel, guests can choose from three restaurants and two bars offering a variety of cuisines. Overlooking the Creek, the all-day brasserie, Al Khor, serves daily buffets, regional specialties and BBQ dishes from the terrace. For steak and seafood lovers, Hoof 'n Fin provides the best in grilled meat and fish whereas guests wanting light meals can enjoy, Aqua, the poolside restaurant. Nafora, lobby lounge serves coffee, teas and drinks accompanied by a choice of pastries and in the evenings, guests can sip cocktails or sample Havana cigars in the Havana Bar lounge to the sound of South American rhythms.

In addition to its many leisure attractions, the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah provides a full range of business facilities including a business centre and four fully-equipped meeting rooms together with banqueting facilities and a multi-functional ballroom which can hold 500 people for a standing reception or alternatively be split into five separate function rooms.
