Jeema Mineral Water improves business processes with Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, December 14 - 2004 at 12:26
- PRESS RELEASE
Jeema Mineral Water has completed the deployment of Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains ERP to help improve its business processes.
The Great Plains ERP solution will be deployed at Jeema's bottling and distribution plants across the UAE, to manage operations company-wide. The new system provides a much greater level of insight and depth of reporting to meet the company's specific requirements.
"Jeema was looking for a total solution that would help us to manage many different aspects of our business, as well as being capable of meeting our future requirements, and providing us with customized reporting for some of our specific requirements," explained Mohab Hanafy, Finance Manager, Jeema Mineral Water. "Great Plains exceeded all of our requirements, and the local presence and commitment of Emitac and Microsoft were big factors in our choosing this solution."
The solution provides detailed, customized reporting and management of all aspects of the company's operations. A third party application from Microsoft Certified Business Solutions Partner, Horizons International, handles management of the company's manufacturing processes. In future, the company plans to introduce a solution to enable integrations of handheld terminals for use by field staff.
"Jeema is an ISO and HACCP certified company, as well as being a member of the Asia Bottled Water Association, so the Great Plains solution gives Jeema much tighter control over its operations and its data, which helps ensure that it is able to comply with these standards. The ease of customization of Great Plains also meant that the solution could be tailored exactly to fit Jeema's best practices and its unique reporting requirements, all within a short deployment time," said Himanshu Khanna, Solution Sales Specialist, Professional Services Group, Emitac.
The deployment includes Great Plains Financials, Distribution and HR/Payroll modules, running on Windows Server 2000 and a Microsoft SQL 2000 database. Roll out of the solution took two months for the core applications, with a further month to customize it completely as per Jeema's requirements.
Rajesh Deepchandani, Solution Partner Account Manager, Microsoft South Gulf said: "Microsoft Business Solutions applications empower business customers to connect the people, processes and information they need to help improve business agility, increase business insight and run their business more efficiently. The Great Plains solution rolled out for Jeema shows the power and flexibility of Microsoft solutions, and the strength of our partner, Emitac, in providing customers with the tools they need to advance their business."
