Amiantit wins SAR 290 million Saudi contracts in 3 months

In the past three months Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company has won strategic contracts for projects worth SAR 290 million for water and sewage network projects, announced CEO Engineer Fareed Yousef Al-Khalawi.

The contracts are for various projects in Saudi Arabia and involve a number of Amiantit manufacturing facilities in the Kingdom including Arabian Fiberglass Industries Limited (AFIL) which produces glass reinforced polyester pipes (GRP), SADIP for ductile iron pipes, and AMERON and SACOP for concrete pipes, along with many other Saudi factories in the Amiantit Group.

"These contract awards demonstrate the confidence and trust in the reliability and worthiness of Amiantit products, built up over the past 40 years during which time Amiantit has made an important contribution to the infrastructural development of Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries, as well as to many other countries throughout the Middle East and the rest of the world," said Eng Fareed Al-Khalawi, who went on to say "Amiantit's prominent position in world markets is primarily due to its leadership in research, development and ownership of pipe manufacturing technologies, a position which is supported by the technical skills of highly qualified employees at 37 factories in 21 countries, all manufacturing products of superior quality."

Founded in 1968 in Dammam, Amiantit today is a global industrial group with a presence in more than 70 countries. It is the world's biggest manufacturer pf fibreglass reinforced polyester (GRP) pipes and double and single wall storage tanks, which are manufactured using Flowtite™ technology for which Amiantit owns and licenses the world patents. It is also a leading manufacturer of epoxy pipes, ductile Iron pipes, concrete cylinder pipes, pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipes, reinforced concrete pipes, cement mortar lining of steel pipes, polymer concrete pipes and thermoplastic pipes.
