Dubai becoming a firm favourite for global conventions

Dubai's is becoming a firm favourite for global MICE industry players as an ideal year-round business destination with a French association of MICE agencies being the latest to host its annual convention in the emirate recently.
The convention took place from December 9 to 12 at the One and Only Royal Mirage hotel.
The delegates comprised key decision-makers with a network of contacts including important French firms which form their clientele. This will further help promote all projects towards them with leads expected for future corporate or private investments.
The delegates were assisted by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) which is regularly assisting various representatives from around the world.
The visiting delegation was overly impressed with Dubai and the wonderful developments taking place besides what the emirate had to offer to the visitors from across the world.
The DTCM Manager Missions Mr. Hamad bin Mejren, gave them a presentation on Dubai and briefed about the travel and tourism facilities which was well-received.
Dubai has seen an increase in the number of French visitors. The number of hotel establishment guests from France saw a 6.8 per cent increase in 2003 over the previous year while trade between the two countries saw a 65.7 per cent increase during the same period.
