Malaysian prime minister visits DUBAL

In a high profile visit suggestive of the unparalleled international reputation and recognized high status of one of Dubai's great business success stories, HE Mr. Ahmed Al Tayer, Vice-Chairman, DUBAL yesterday, the 16th December, 2005 welcomed HE Mr. Abdulla Badawi, the Prime Minister of Malaysia to the aluminum giant's premises.
HE Abdulla Badawi was officially welcomed and formally received by HE Mr. Ahmed Al Tayer, Vice-Chairman, DUBAL, Mr. Mohammed Al Ghurair, Managing Director, DUBAL, Mr. Abdulla Kalban, Director of Operations, DUBAL and other high ranking board members and company executives. He was conducted around several of the plant's various locations, including its massive potlines, DUBAL's renowned smelting operations area and other important locations across the vast and sprawling aluminium plant.
"The visit has been a great success. HE Mr. Abdulla Badawi's visit afforded DUBAL the opportunity to showcase its unique methods of operation. In meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, DUBAL has found a highly esteemed friend and the certainty that any future relationship between us will be beneficial to both DUBAL and the UAE, as a whole," said Mr. Ahmed Al Tayer.
"What I saw of DUBAL is very impressive. It is an incredible industrial site, with excellent state-of-the-art technology. The management runs the entire operationextremely professionally. I am left with the undeniable impression that the business operation at DUBAL is based on a very successful model and others from around the
world should learn from the way they are doing things at DUBAL," said HE Mr. Abdulla Badawi.
