Ambiente Arabia show generates huge interest among home décor and giftware suppliers, boosted by housing boom
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, December 18 - 2004 at 13:40
- PRESS RELEASE
Ambiente Arabia, the Middle East's premier, international gifts and homeware trade exhibition, has generated strong interest from leading international lifestyle, giftware and home living brands, fuelled by a vibrant property sector that has created thousands of residential units in the region.
The event will showcase exclusive brands and new collections from leading manufacturers from Italy, Scandinavian countries, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Spain. International brands already confirmed at the show include Waterford and Wedgwood. Complementing these style-focused brands, Ambiente will also feature a wide range of handicraft and ethnic products from countries such as the Philippines, India, Iran, China and Indonesia.
"Ambiente Arabia targets the multi-billion dollar market for exclusive giftware, home décor and lifestyle products, which is growing at 10 per cent annually," said Geoffrey Booy, Exhibitions Director of IIR Middle East, organisers of the show. "With the region experiencing a boom in residential and commercial property development, complemented by consumer spending power rated among the highest in the world, Ambiente Arabia provides an ideal sourcing ground for institutional buyers and design consultants."
Ambiente Arabia 2005 moved to the new dates in spring to support the critical buying cycles for the region's many new projects. The new dates also meet the demands of the rapidly growing lifestyle and homeware industry by aligning with new product collections that are launched at the beginning of the year. More importantly, for the first time the show will be open to the public in the evenings, in line with the international shows dealing in the lifestyle and homeware industry, providing a direct route for exhibitors to build valuable brand awareness with consumers.
Commenting on the region's growth, Titus van der Werf, Parker Company, UAE, a leading Procurement Company that serves several hotel groups, including Jumeirah International, said: "In the last 8 years we have seen an enormous increase in the demand for interior accents and decorative products in the Middle East."
Mai-Britt Clemens, Director of Flora Patricia, an art and interior accents firm from Denmark, and a first time international exhibitor at Ambiente commented, "We have an elite and loyal customer based across Europe who value our distinguished styling and brand value. The Middle East market is a key growth area for us and a regional presence matches with our global expansion strategy. Ambiente presents us a strategic platform to meet agents who can represent us in the market, as well as launch our brand marketing activities in the Arabian Gulf."
Several leading Middle East commercial design consultants are also exhibiting, to provide services to bridge the supply of new market products and turnkey interior solutions, as Ambiente Arabia provides a complete business-to-business platform for manufacturers, design specialists, hotel procurement companies, property management and installation services, retailers, wholesales and re-exporters from across the Arabian Gulf.
