The Prime Minister, who also spoke at the recent Arab Strategy Forum, was welcomed by Ahmad bin Byat, Director General of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone, Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, CEO of Dubai Knowledge Village, and a number of DIC's senior officials.
Mr Badawi was accompanied by the Malaysian Minster for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Syed Hamid Albar, the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry, HE Ahmad Husni Mohamad Hanadzlah and HE Abdul Mubin Razali, the Malaysian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
The Malaysian delegation discussed with Mr. Bin Byat and Free Zone officials, a range of topics, including infrastructure and the importance of Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Village. The Prime Minister was interested in how Business Partners can benefit from a wide range of features, support and services that are not available to other businesses outside of the Free Zone. After the meeting, Mr Bin Byat accompanied the visiting Malaysian Prime Minister on a tour of Dubai Internet City.
