The building was formally inaugurated by Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Istithmar, in front of invited dignitaries and guests from the Corporate Office, PCFC and international companies based in Dubai and the Free Zone.

Serco Gulf which is a leading facilities management company in the region, was established in October 2002 as a joint venture between Istithmar and Serco Middle East.

In February 2004, Serco Gulf relocated from various workshops and offices within the Free Zone to one new site. This move was to combine its entire operations within one customised facility. Serco Gulf's grand opening sees the fulfilment of the plan to co-locate all staff and services under one roof within the Free Zone.

"We are dedicated to providing best practice in facilities management. To do this, we have implemented an Integrated Management System to ensure the highest levels of Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental protection. Our Integrated Management System has ensured that we provide and maintain a premium service to our customers," said Kevin Brennan, General Manager of Serco Gulf.

Serco Gulf also provides facilities management services from sites within Port Rashid and The Gardens Residential Community.

"Serco Gulf prides itself on operational efficiency and therefore establishing one location for our services was a key objective," remarked John Ashcroft, Regional Director, Serco Middle East.

"Our joint venture represents a key step forward in bringing international best practices to the facilities management sector. Serco has a strong management team and is well-placed to provide essential services to the expanding UAE market. We are looking forward to watching and contributing to the success of the organisation," said Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman at Istithmar.
