Siemens Wi-Fi enables Barista Espresso at Al Ghurair City
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, December 20 - 2004 at 15:11
- PRESS RELEASE
Barista Espresso, Middle East and Siemens today announced that Barista Espresso café at Al Ghurair City has now become a Wi-Fi Hot Spot, providing highspeed, wireless internet access for its customers.
Wi-Fi-enabled devices (laptops or PDAs) can send and receive data wirelessly from any location equipped with Wi-Fi access. Hot Spots are locations that allow public wireless internet access by installing Wi-Fi access points. These access points transmit an RF signal so that Wi-Fi enabled devices that are within range are able to wirelessly swap data with the internet connection at the Hot Spot location.
Mr. Sameer Ahmed Siddiqui, Director Sales, Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), stated: "Siemens will offer Barista customers reliable high- speed internet access through the use of Siemens wireless networking equipment. The same Siemens line of home networking products provides the perfect means for users to connect wirelessly to their internet service at home."
Barista Espresso and Siemens plan to continue this initiative by setting up Wi-Fi hotspots in its existing Barista outlets across the UAE in 2005.
All of the Siemens home networking products are designed for easy installation, hassle-free setup and secure operation to make deployment for home users a breeze.
