First MENA Finance Conference in Munich

The first Broader MENA Finance Conference in Munich will have up to 250 representatives from companies and banks with interest in bilateral trade and investments. The conference participants will come primarily from Germany and from the broader MENA region.

The conference will be hosted by the Federation of German Industries and the Association of German Banks within the scope of the North
Africa Middle East Initiative of German Business.

It will be organized in cooperation with The World Bank Group and the European Investment Bank. The conference will be supported by businesses and commercial banks from the Broader MENA region and from Germany, all of which have many years of practical experience in the area.

High-ranking representatives of business and politics have confirmed their participation in the conference.

The one-day conference with the motto 'Investing in a More Secure World' forms the initial meeting for a series of conferences, which is set to continue on a two-year cycle.

Operational questions relating to export and project financing as well as to foreign investment in the region will be addressed at the conference. Discussions about how to attract Broader MENA investments to Germany will be an additional focus of the conference.
