MMI opens new 24-hour Costa Coffee outlet at Dubai Airport

Located at the Viewer's Gallery, which is situated above the departure lounge of the airport, the 24-hour outlet will cater to large numbers of outbound passengers.

Announcing the launch, Piers Burton, Corporate Marketing Controller, Maritime and Mercantile International (MMI), stated that the decision to launch the new outlet stemmed from an ongoing exercise to strengthen the company's presence in the domestic retail sector.

"MMI's corporate mission encompasses the ambition to be Dubai's leading provider of leisure and retail products and services, and we are focussed in strengthening our presence in these sectors," he said, also revealing that other MMI-led leisure and retail projects would be announced shortly.

"Costa Coffee is a much-loved brand, with a dedicated fan-following of connoisseurs and gourmets around the world. MMI is delighted to be fuelling this passion for fine coffee among Dubai residents," explained Burton, as he referred to the airport's present annual footfall of around 12 million passengers, a major element in considering the venue for this new outlet.

Describing the new outlet, Burton stated that the new Costa Coffee outlet offers a commanding view of the runway, and exclusively seats 30 people on its premises. In addition, Costa Coffee shares space with other food outlets at the 500-seating airport food court.

"The airport outlet has several distinctive features, although every Costa Coffee fan will feel immediately at home," he explained. To suit the modern décor of the airport, the outlet boasts a very contemporary look, and to accommodate the needs of fast-moving passengers it boasts a self-service counter, which is unique to this outlet. Costa Coffee at the airport is open 24 hours every day.
