Under the theme 'Discover UOWD', visitors will be presented with a 'list of things to discover' upon registration. Visitors will be escorted around the campus (Knowledge Village I and II), shown the university's facilities and can speak to staff members about courses and career prospects after graduation.

"Rather than having participants being told what UOWD offers, our aim is to get participants to discover the university themselves. We want to open a dialogue with the participants to understand their needs and requirements to achieve the common goal of learning," said Jay Jayatilaka, Manager, Marketing and External Relations.

The university aims to provide an enhanced 'education experience' to students through innovative, interactive teaching, and research excellence. From modest beginnings in 1993, UOWD has seen student levels grow to around 1700 owing to a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in business and IT, and English language courses.
"This year, the number of students graduating from UOWD has risen by 30 per cent, underlining the university's impressive performance. This is just the beginning of what is yet to come," added Jayatilaka.

The 'Open Evenings' will be held at the University of Wollongong campus at Knowledge Village, Block 15 starting at 7.00 p.m.
